The Procedure
The area of your skin that is to be treated will be scanned with laser light. The laser beam treats many hairs at once, employing a unique computer-scanning system that automates the procedure so you’ll be sure of a rapid treatment and even result. A system for cooling your skin will be used to remove heat as it leaves the follicles to ensure a comfortable treatment. Since sensation varies for each individual, a topical anesthesia may be administered. Since hair growth can be successfully treated at only one stage—anagen—you may need three to five treatments every six weeks to optimize results. |
Progress and Healing
Some redness and slight swelling may be present but it should subside within a few hours. Keep the treated area clean, use at least SPF 15 sunscreen outdoors and follow Dr. Swier’s instructions. |
